Urgent Call to Prevent Government Shutdown
NARFE is actively urging members to contact their lawmakers to avert a government shutdown and protect federal employees. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has directed agencies to consider initiating Reduction-in-Force (RIF) actions for federal employees in programs impacted by a lapse in funding. NARFE has denounced this directive as a “scare tactic” and continues to advocate for good-faith, bipartisan negotiations.
