    Honorable Shirley Chisholm Library (formerly the Amherst Main Library at Audubon)

The next meeting of NARFE Chapter 439 is Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Community Room of the Amherst Main Library at Audubon (recently renamed the Honorable Shirley Chisholm Library) located at 350 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY. This is a new location for our meetings.

The library is in the same complex as the Amherst Senior Center, Amherst Police Station, and Courthouse. The library will be on your right as you enter the complex of buildings, just look for the playground and picnic tables out front of the library. The Community Room is the first room as you enter the library.

Our special guest presenter will be Jennifer Johnson from New Sky Wellness who will be talking about getting the most out of retirement. Whether you are planning to retire, just recently retired, or a long-time retiree, this presentation will be of value to you! Transitioning from a career to retirement is one of the biggest changes in most people’s lives. Retirement planning centers mainly around money management, but what about managing your time? Learn about the common challenges people face in retirement, including family dynamics, identity issues, and health management. This presentation is brought to us by Highmark Western and Northeastern New York.
