The next meeting of NARFE Chapter 439 is Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Community Room of the Amherst Main Library at Audubon (recently renamed the Honorable Shirley Chisholm Library) located at 350 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY. This is a new location for our meetings.

The library is in the same complex as the Amherst Senior Center, Amherst Police Station, and Courthouse. The library will be on your right as you enter the complex of buildings, just look for the playground and picnic tables out front of the library. The Community Room is the first room as you enter the library.

Our special guest presenter will be Trini Ross, a remarkable woman who had an impressive career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney before becoming the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York.

Born and raised in Buffalo, Trini Ross is a nationally recognized leader in law, justice, and public service. Over the course of her more than 30-year career as a federal attorney, she has litigated and managed complex cases and high-level investigations, and championed fairness and integrity across the justice system. As U.S. Attorney, Ross led a team of more than 100 attorneys and staff responsible for prosecuting violations of federal criminal law and representing the United States in civil matters. Her tenure included oversight of several high-profile cases with national and international impact, including the Buffalo Tops Market mass shooting, the murder of a Rochester police officer, and the assault of a member of Congress.
