President Biden signing Social Security Fairness Act

On January 5, 2025, President Biden signed the Social Security Fairness Act, H.R. 82, which repeals the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP), and Government Pension Offset (GPO). For decades, NARFE has advocated to repeal WEP and GPO. We thank our representatives who co-sponsored this bill and voted for its passage, and all the NARFE members who advocated in support of H.R. 82. To learn more, click here.
