A separate library will be maintained on Artificial  Intelligence – look for that to appear on our Explore AI page on the Projects menu tab.

UAT Team Takes a Break

The NARFE-hosted Users Acceptance Testing (UAT) Team has decided to take a break. We will re-convene the first week in January, on Tuesday 01/06/26, at 4 pm ET via Zoom. At that time we will consider our options: Do we want to broaden our interests, focus on new issues, or dive into any of the many problems that we have identified with NARFE technology. NARFE members can read more on the Projects/UAT Team page.

LSA and ZIP Code Repair

CAB techniques for “ZIP Code Repair” were recently implemented by the TN Federation. The method pioneered by the CAB in 2023 uses color-coded maps by Randy Majors to examine and propose changes to the ZIP Codes assigned to NARFE chapters within a federation. Mike Mellish and TN Federation President Linda Heaton proposed changes to the LSA for Tennessee, and maps and databases used are available for NARFE members to view on the CAB Project page for LSA-ZIP Code Repair.

Virginia ECC + NARFE CAB

The Virginia Electronics Communications Committee of NARFE recently invited the NARFE Configuration Advisory Board to their monthly meeting to show what CAB is all about. In preparation for this event, CAB members created not one, not two, but three presentations, all of which are now posted on the CAB Important Links page under CAB Presentations. Will, Carol, and Martha chose to showcase our shortest option, the 8-slide-introduction called “Q and A with CAB”…

FAQs for FEDHub!

A new section has been added to the FEDHub Tutorials page – a Frequently Asked Questions section, or FAQs for FEDHub! This page will serve NARFE members who are new to FEDHub, or don’t use it very often, or those who have questions they can’t find answered anywhere else. If you have a question about FEDHub you want answered, use the Contact Webmaster form at the bottom of any page.
