Dr. Kathy Platoni a clinical psychologist and retired U.S. Army Colonel .gave a powerful talk on her service in combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan providing professional services to those soldiers who have experienced intense combat. She also recounted her survival while at Ft. Hood in 2009 when a a U.S. Army doctor went on a murderous rampage which left thirteen people dead and 33 others injured. Dr. Platoni has a practice in Centerville, Ohio. She only sees veterans.
