Ruth Vriend, Howard County Master Gardener, will present “Leave the Leaves” with tips to save gardeners time and money. Many homeowners rake up and dispose of leaves every fall. But leaving the leaves can have significant benefits for enriching the soil, mulching around plants, and supporting pollinators and other wildlife. You’ll learn why and how to enrich your garden and save time and money by strategic use of autumn leaves. We will have a short business meeting after the presentation at the East Columbia 50+ Center, located at 6610 Cradlerock Way in Columbia, MD.
