Letters to Media and Legislators
NARFE urge Senators and Representatives to opposes proposals including cuts to earned federal employment benefits as a cost offset for budget reconciliation legislation.
Proposals that would diminish the value of federal employment benefits have been circulated as options to achieve budget savings to offset deficit increases from other legislative provisions, such as changes in tax policy or spending increases on alternative priorities. By NARFE President William Shackelford
From Michigan Federation
We are hearing from Federal workers all over the State of Michigan about the negative impact of the DOGE and the executive actions that to us appear to be an attack on the very idea of a non-partisan civil service. The NARFE Michigan Federation President has sent a letter to all the US Representatives and US Senators. He encourages other NARFE members to contact their legislators to let them know your own options.
From Montana NARFE Member
Other NARFE members may be wanting to send their opinion to their local newspapers editor like Clint Nagel did or to their legislators. Here is an article by Clint Nagel, past legislative and communications officer for NARFE Chapter 0843 to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Link from the newspaper. The letter is here in case others are interested.
