Upcoming Meetings
May 15, 2026: Angela Cochran and Tammy Loewe from the St. Mary’s County Health Department will be providing information on school based health centers and what they have to offer and information on upcoming events. We will have elections for the following officer positions: President, Treasurer and Federal Legislative Officer.
June 19, 2026: Honorable Todd Morgan of the House of Delegates will speak to the group and swear in the new officers based on the elections that took place at the May meeting. The new lottery drawing will begin this month and continue until May 2027.
July 2026: There is no meeting in July.
August 21, 2026: A representative from the Sheriff’s Office will provide information on current scams and threats and what you can do to prevent them.
September 18, 2026: Dr. Travis Parno, Acting Executive Director and Director of Research & Collections at Historic St. Mary’s City will provide the history of St. Mary’s City. He has spoken to us before about the excavations and research of St. Mary’s Fort and was phenomenal.
October 16, 2026: Various Insurance Companies will be providing information on their policy changes for the 2027 Federal Benefits Open Season. Each company will have a booth with giveaways and provide an overview to the group of their upcoming changes.
November 20, 2026: Robert Crickenberger will speak about the Civil War in Southern Maryland. He has done much research on the subject and has written a book which he will be bringing with him.
December 18, 2026: Christmas Party. Entertainment TBD.
Meeting Information

Chapter 0969 meets every third Friday of the month at 11:30am at the Olde Breton Inn;

No meetings are held in February and July;

Includes a delicious buffet lunch catered by Bailey’s Catering at a cost of $20.00 except for the Christmas party which cost $25.00;

Reservations are required by notifying the Chapter; and
-
Guest speakers are invited to provide relevant information on a variety of subjects and/or fun entertainment.
