In May 2025, the NARFE Chapter 0969 hosted a Federal Employee Benefits Expo featuring many vendors with informative information and lots of free merchandise. There were hourly door prizes and a free NARFE membership given out during the event. The venue was at the Mt. Zion Church in Mechanicsville, MD. The next Expo is scheduled for May 16, 2026. Representatives from Freedom Hearing Center offered free hearing screenings and answered questions relating to hearing loss.
A representative provided information pamphlets from Freedom Physical Therapy.
A representative from the St. Mary’s County Department on Aging and Human Services provided pamphlets and spoke about the activities offered at the various aging centers throughout St. Mary’s and other 50+ programs they offer.
