FAQs

Where and when are the meetings?

We meet monthly September through November, and January through May on the first Tuesday of each month. Our meeting time is generally 1-3PM. See the Meetings page for a general description and listings of our meetings, the meeting listings for details of the meetings, and watch for posts on the Home page for announcements about meetings and events.

What are the dues?

Our chapter dues are $5 a year. This is in addition to the national dues that must also be paid. This is collected as part of your payment to the national office, and is automatically remitted to us.

How many events are in a year?

We have 2 scheduled events every year. A summer luncheon early in June, and a holiday luncheon in December. See the Events page for details.

Are refreshments available at the meetings?

Light refreshments are served between the meeting and the presentation. They include things like coffee, water, and cookies.

What are the presentation topics at the meetings?

There are some standard presentations:
The health fair in October/November before the open season, and Tax info in early spring.
A summary of general NARFE issue updates are presented during the business portion of the meeting.

Speakers on a wide variety of general interest topics provide presentations at other meetings. Recent presentations include:
travel to exotic locations,
local interest items,
a description of programs at local museums,
how to do gardening the easy way.

See the Albums page for some of the presentations.
