SF NARFE VP Attends APWU Luncheon

Pauline Jue, Chapter 0065 Membership Chair, and Vice President of CA Federation District V, recently attended a luncheon of the San Francisco retiree branch of American Postal Workers Union, celebrating their 17th Anniversary. She gave a speech about NARFE and our partnership with unions. The comparison was made that HR is the champion of workers, Unions are the champion of a specific category of workers, and NARFE is the champion of all Federal workers, retirees, and their families. With the current DOGE craziness going on in this administration, job security and retirement benefits are in jeopardy as never before. NARFE has joined a lawsuit to block reinstatement of Schedule F as well as a lawsuit to prevent DOGE accessing our private information. Unions are being targeted to eliminate collective bargaining and employee rights. The Postal Service faces the threat of privatization. Who then, will deliver the last mile in rural and urban areas – Amazon and UPS? NARFE provides education and information through monthly magazines, webinars, newsletters and emails.
