Service Officer
NARFE has Service Officers who can advise and assist members and their families with benefits, personnel actions, and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) processing. Examples include:
- filing death and other claims
- survivor benefits
- changing beneficiaries
- electing life insurance options
- Thrift Savings Plan
- comparing health plans during Federal Health Benefit open season
- cutting through red tape and processing delays
- how to navigate the OPM website

Service Officers know OPM‘s complex requirements in detail. We encourage members to reach out to a Service Officer whenever help is needed. Contact California Federation Service Officer Yvonne Williams, for help.
