WEP/GPO REPEALED!!!!
Thanks to NARFE and other organizations fighting for federal and state government employees! The Windfall Elimination Provision and the Government Pension Offset are REPEALED! NEWS from NARFE: “Just past midnight in the early hours of Saturday, December 21, the U.S. Senate passed H.R. 82, the Social Security Fairness Act, to repeal the windfall elimination provision (WEP), and the government pension offset (GPO), voting 76-20 on final passage. Prior to passage, the Senate voted against several amendments that would have prevented the bill from becoming law. The House previously passed the bill by a 327-75 vote on November 12. It will now go to the president to sign into law.”
