Our Washington U.S. House delegation is 80% re-elected members. The freshman class this year includes Reps. Michael Baumgartner (WA-05, R-Spokane) and Emily Randall (WA-06, D-Bremerton). We can be especially thankful that Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Sunnyside) and Marie Gluesencamp-Perez (D-Washougal) are returning after close races in November, as they are both friends of NARFE (and were supported by NARFE-PAC).

We have updated our WSF webpage advocacy links. If you are a local chapter president, legislative chair, or PAC chair, we highly encourage you to contact your local Representative’s office (especially the two “freshmen” when their new offices open) and cultivate or renew your relationship. It’s not only about pushing legislation — when Feds contact their local congressional office for help, these folks could guide them back to us as prospective members, so let’s try to make sure we are “on the map” with them! (This goes for Senators too!)
