NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association), leadership on Alzheimer’s advocacy and fundraising is coordinated through both national, federation, and chapter-level committees.

NARFE uses the abbreviations CDL and SL to refer to positions or roles related to legislative and membership leadership. CDL stands for Congressional District Leader and SL stands for Senate Leader.

Our Public Relations concept at the Virginia Federation of NARFE is three-fold: writing Op Eds for distribution to our local news resources, organizing events to share the benefits of membership in NARFE, and developing marketing collateral to distribute according to the venue.

NARFE Service Officers play a vital role in providing guidance, advice, and training to assist Chapter Service Officers as well as chapter members and their families about dealing with the services the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) provides.

The Virginia Federation of NARFE State Legislation Officer leads the Virginia Federation’s efforts to monitor, influence, and advocate on issues affecting federal retirees and employees at the state level.
