Configuration Advisory Board (CAB)

The NARFE Configuration Advisory Board (CAB) is made up of 10 members, one from each region, representing chapters and federations.  The CAB plays an essential role in NARFE’s overall information technology architecture from a strategic and operational viewpoint.  CAB members are recommended by the Regional Vice President and approved by the NARFE National President.

For quick questions Contact Region 10 CAB Representative – Peter Eckhoff

Peter worked for the U.S. EPA’s Air Quality Modeling Group for 25 years, programming models and utilities primarily in Fortran.  Part of that work involved documenting these programs.  He was also the SysAdmin for a cluster of computers used in modeling various air pollution scenarios.  The systems that once fit into two racks and on scattered tables will now fit on top of a desk for the most part.  He joined NARFE in 2014 and became Chapter Treasurer a few years later.  He currently serves the North Carolina Federation as webmaster, working to transition to a microsite environment and adapting to WordPress after being technologically outdated at GoDaddy.  Serving on the Configuration Advisory Board (CAB) as Region 10 Representative, he works on various AMS issues, Zoom, and mentors trainees transitioning their respective legacy Federation and Chapter websites to the new microsite format.
