Symposium Travel Information
The Symposium will be held in Ellensburg, Washington, a lovely locale with lots to do and see, even in October! Consider coming a day early or staying later – see more information at myellensburg.com.
Meeting Venues
The meeting hotel is the Ellensburg Best Western Plus and will be the venue for Federation meetings and a mixer on Thursday afternoon and evening, October 1. The rest of the Symposium will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 2-3 in Ellensburg
Travel by Car
Ellensburg is centrally located in Washington State near the intersection of I-90 and I-82.
While in Ellensburg, encourage attendees to carpool (after breakfast) from the hotel to the meeting on Friday and Saturday. There is also a free bus system in Ellensburg (Route 12A/12B) that can get you from the hotel to the meeting with about 10 minutes of walking.
Travel by Air
The easiest way to get to the Symposium by air is to travel to SeaTac International Airport and take the BellAir Airporter to Ellensburg. Recommended schedules (see full schedule):
- Thursday: 11:00 SeaTac Airport, arriving 1:30 pm Ellensburg Love’s Travel Stop
- Saturday: 1:50 pm Ellensburg Love’s Travel Stop arriving 5:30 pm SeaTac
There may be opportunities to carpool from SeaTac with NARFE members headed from Western Washington to Ellensburg, please contact us if you are interested.
NARFE Symposium volunteers will be available to pick you up in Ellensburg (let us know when you are arriving), or you could use a ride share app (Uber or Lyft) to get to the hotel.
If you choose to rent a car, the drive from SeaTac Airport to Ellensburg is about 2.5 hours.
