Social Security Fairness Act Signed

President Biden has officially signed the “Social Security Fairness Act” H.R. 82.

“Thanks to all NARFE members for your efforts in reaching this goal.”

“This bill will repeal the unfair Windfall Elimination Provision “WEP” and Government Pension Offset “GPO” from the Social Security Act which has impacted millions of retirees including many federal workers nationwide, and teachers and firefighters in 15 states including Texas.  This has been a primary goal of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees since 1985!
