For quick questions Contact Region 07 CAB Representative – Carol Main

Carol has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from New Mexico State University. She spent her entire 28-year Federal career at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico working for the Department of Army. She started as a Clerk-Typist and retired as a Human Resources Specialist. During her career, the personnel office changed from submitting huge trays of key-punch cards to update the database and produce personnel actions to using desk-top terminals connected to a main-frame at WSMR to submitting input on-line to the regional portion of the personnel database located at Ft. Huachuca. Arizona. Most of her career was spent working for the Personnel Systems Manager (PSM) and subsequently becoming the PSM when the PSM retired. Her main duties were database management and automated reports. Her work experience in our rapidly evolving technical world served her well as a NARFE member.

Carol started attending NARFE meetings in the fall of 2008 with her recently retired husband. Her intent was to just attend meetings with him until she retired. She joined in September 2009 as an active employee. She became the co-chair of our chapter’s telephone committee (now Member Communications) in November 2009. She has held many appointed positions in the last 15 years from collector of breakfast tickets to Chapter auditor. She is currently the Records officer for Chapter 0182, Member Communications Chair, New Mexico Federation Area Officer, and Configuration Advisory Board (CAB) representative for Region VII.
