Proposed NARFE Bylaws Amendments Available for Review
The proposed amendments to the NARFE National Bylaws have been published and are now available for member review. These proposals will appear on the 2026 election ballot and could significantly impact the governance, operations, and future direction of our association.

- Online voting begins: August 26, 2026 (following FEDcon26 and distribution of voting PINs)

Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act (H.R. 6130 / S. 3267)
The bipartisan Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act (H.R. 6130 / S. 3267) is the primary legislative initiative pushing to have Medicare cover early blood-based Alzheimer’s screenings. If passed, it would grant the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the authority to cover routine dementia screening tests.
NARFE Referendum to Change National Officer Term Limits
A special NARFE referendum will be held Jan. 26 to Feb. 24 to vote on extending terms for the National President and Secretary/Treasurer to three years.
