Proposed NARFE Bylaws Amendments Available for Review
All proposed NARFE Bylaws amendments have been published and made available to the membership as part of the 2026 election materials, allowing members to review each proposal before casting their vote.
Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act (H.R. 6130 / S. 3267)
The bipartisan Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act (H.R. 6130 / S. 3267) is the primary legislative initiative pushing to have Medicare cover early blood-based Alzheimer’s screenings. If passed, it would grant the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the authority to cover routine dementia screening tests.
NARFE Referendum to Change National Officer Term Limits
A special NARFE referendum will be held Jan. 26 to Feb. 24 to vote on extending terms for the National President and Secretary/Treasurer to three years.
