The Montana Federation is an active member of NARFE Region IX, which consists of the Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Washington Federations.  Region IX has the smallest total NARFE membership but covers the largest physical area.

Under the leadership of the Region IX Vice President Steven Roy, we virtually meet monthly to discuss direction and issues related to our individual Federations, collaborate extensively with each other, and collectively advance our positions through VP Steven Roy to the National Executive Board.

The Mission & Purpose of the Montana Federation of NARFE

Support legislation and regulations beneficial to federal civilian employees,
annuitants, and potential annuitants under any federal civilian retirement system
and oppose those detrimental to their interests.

To uphold the dignity and importance of federal civilian employees and
annuitants and potential annuitants, we advise and assist them with respect to
their rights under retirement, health, and other employee and retiree benefits,
laws, and regulations, and represent their interests before appropriate
authorities.

The Federation aims to promote NARFE’s objectives and unite for the mutual
benefit of all Montana Chapters and National members in the State.
