OPM Collection of Personal Health Data
NARFE is urging Congress to request transparency, specificity, and guaranteed protections from OPM regarding FEHB/ PSHB collected health data. President William Shackelford issued a statement in response to the notice, noting that OPM may have legitimate reasons for obtaining the information, but highlighting the lack of adequate, articulated reasoning. President Shackelford also advised that OPM should only seek personally de-identified information to protect employees.
NARFE is now asking our members to reach out to your members of Congress today and urge them to address these concerns with OPM regarding the collection of health data!
