Reminder – Voting on NARFE Referendum Ends Feb. 24

NARFE’s special referendum to change National Executive Board (NEB) term limits to three years ends February 24. Voting is being conducted securely by Election Services Corp. (ESC). Anyone who was a member in good standing as of December 1, 2025, is eligible to vote.

The Colorado Federation proposed the Bylaws amendment and the NEB approved it. Two-thirds of the members submitting a ballot must vote yes for the Bylaws to be changed to extend the term limits from two years to three years for all NEB members.

NARFE members can visit the 2026 Referendum page on the National website to read the Report of the Bylaws Committee, details  for the referendum and a sample ballot. NARFE also opened a community on FEDHub to facilitate discussion amongst members about the referendum – Bylaw Amendment Proposal for 2026 Referendum.

Members who don’t have an email account or hadn’t listed an email address with National should have gotten a postcard in the mail with instructions on how to vote.

If you have an issue finding the email message from ESC for the referendum ballot, please try these:

• Check your email Inbox closely for a message from “Election Services Co. for NARFE.”
  • Subject: NARFE Special Referendum Voting Open
  • From: narfehelp@electionservicescorp.com  or  narfehelp@mg.electionservicescorp.com
• Check your Bulk or Spam folders. Depending on your email service provider, the message from ESC may have been marked as “Spam”.

ESC mailed requested paper ballots by January 30, 2026. If you have not received a paper ballot by February 10, 2026, contact ESC.
