Error in Some December Annuities
NARFE National posted online that some federal annuitants (retirees) have received a December 1, 2025 annuity statement that lists amounts for the January 2026 cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). Their article, December 2025 Annuity Error, explains the issue and how to notify the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) if you are affected.
Per the OPM website’s Learn more about cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) page, “For the year 2026, annuitants who retired under CSRS will receive a 2.8 percent increase and those who retired under FERS will receive a 2.0 percent increase.”.
