NARFE, Coalition Sue Over DOGE’s Access to Private Data

February 24:  The US District Court for Maryland issued a temporary restraining order that prohibits the Department of Education and the Office of Personnel Management from providing personal data to the Department of Government Efficiency. February 10: NARFE joined the American Federation of Teachers, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) and the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) to file suit in federal court in Maryland. They allege improper access by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to the private data of American citizens at the Department of Education, the Office of Personnel Management and the Department of Treasury.
