NARFE assists you with your life outside the workplace by providing information via webinars, magazine, or headquarters that deal with everyday life occurrences and problems that are federal benefits issues. We also advocate at the local and national level for and against any legislation that would impact federal employees and retirees.

Iowa NARFE worked with the Iowa Legislators concerning the taxing of our retirement benefits.  The information provided to your legislators resulted in your annuity (pension), social security, and IRAs (TSP) are not taxed by Iowa beginning in 2023.  What a great state to retire in!!!
