How much does it cost to join NARFE?

Annual dues for NARFE national membership are $48 per year. Chapter dues for Chapter 1494 are $6 per year and currently are waived for the first year for new members.

Why should I join NARFE?

Because NARFE is the only organization advocating for Federal employees, both active and retired. NARFE ensures that you always are up to date with current changes in your retirement, pension and health insurance coverage.

How do I notify OPM of an Annuitant’s death?

Apply for death benefits at OPM for CSRS and FERS here.

How do I change Beneficiaries?

To change the designation of Beneficiary: Civil Service and Federal Employees on Federal Annuity use OPM Standard Form (SF3102)
To change the designation of Beneficiary: Civil Service and Federal Employees use for Federal Employees Life Insurance OPM Standard Form (SF2823).
If the deceased is an active employee at the time of death go to OPM Standard Forms to complete an Application for Death Benefits: (SF2800 for CSRS or SF3104h and SF3104b for FERS)
