“The Social Security Fairness Act [HR-82} will be signed at the White House on Sunday, January 5, 4 PM ET (edited 1/4/25). I received an invitation to the signing and will be in attendance proudly representing NARFE*.

“Thanks to all NARFE members for your efforts in reaching this goal.”

“This bill will repeal the unfair Windfall Elimination Provision “WEP” and Government Pension Offset “GPO” from the Social Security Act which has impacted millions of retirees including many federal workers nationwide, and teachers and firefighters in 15 states including Texas.  This has been a primary goal of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees since 1985!
