Dear NARFE Members:

On Thursday, March 14, NARFE became aware of a suspicious email sent to NARFE staff and some members from what appeared to be a NARFE sender. This e-mail was not sent by NARFE nor by our affiliates. We have been made aware that some individuals may have clicked on the link provided therein, and we are sending this e-mail as a precautionary warning. Our members’ security is our top priority, and we want to ensure that everyone takes the necessary steps to guard against any potential threats.

NARFE will never send email asking for your personal identifying information or payment details, or send attachments or links without ensuring your safety.

If you have clicked on a suspicious email purportedly from NARFE, we urge you to take immediate action to safeguard your personal information.

Here are some steps you should take:

Change Your Passwords: It is crucial to change the passwords for any accounts that you may have accessed after clicking on the suspicious email. This will help prevent unauthorized access to your sensitive information.

Scan for Malware: Run a thorough malware scan on your device to check for any malicious software that may have been downloaded as a result of clicking on the suspicious email. This will help ensure that your device is free from any potential threats.

Your security is of utmost importance to us, and we want to make sure that you are taking the necessary precautions to protect yourself. If you have any concerns or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
