Alton Rahe New Braunfels Living Legend

Long-time member Alton Rahe was honored this fall by the Braunfels Foundation as a Living Legend, along with two other local citizens.

Alton worked 41 years as a civilian in statistical analyses with the United States Air Force.
He is also an accomplished musician playing since high school including many Wurstfests.
In addition he has been very involved in writing about and helping preserve the history of Comal County and New Braunfels.

Besides many articles he has published four books on Comal County and another book is in the works. According to an article in the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung, any profits from the sale of his books are donated to charitable organizations.

Alton was featured in an extensive copyright article authored by Teresa Ohlrich which appeared in the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung.
