What is NARFE?
The National Active & Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) is a membership association of current federal employees and retirees. It is the only organization solely dedicated to protecting and preserving the pay and benefits of all federal workers and retirees. NARFE is an advocate for both active and retired federal employees before Congress and the White House. NARFE sponsors and supports legislation to protect the earned benefits and general welfare of members.
What are the benefits of NARFE membership?
As a member you receive the following:
- NARFE Magazine- a prime source of information and guidance on critical legislation and benefits issues.
- Federal Benefits Service Specialist- NAFRE staffs professionals to assist with the complex issues of retirement and other federal benefits that you need help with.
- Legislation- Alerts on issues that directly affect federal employees and retirees. An online Legislative Action Center to contact your member of Congress.
- Free access to all NARFE Webinars on a wide array of topics regarding federal employment and retirement.
Who can join NARFE?
Membership is open to civilians who are or will be eligible to receive an annuity or survivor annuity from the federal retirement programs of an agency of the United States government. That includes:
- Current federal employees
- Retirees
- Spouses and surviving spouse of those eligible to join NARFE
- Former federal employees
- A former spouse who is entitled to a federal survivor annuity
How much does it cost to join NARFE?
- Membership is $ 48 a year.
What are the dues for Chapter 0046?
- The dues as approved by the membership are $10 a year.
