The freshman class this year includes Reps. Michael Baumgartner (WA-05, R-Spokane) and Emily Randall (WA-06, D-Bremerton). We can be especially thankful that Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Sunnyside) and Marie Gluesencamp-Perez (D-Washougal) are returning after close races in November, as they are both friends of NARFE (and were supported by NARFE-PAC).<\/p>\n<p>We have updated our WSF webpage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.narfe.org\/wa\/resources\/links\/#advocacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">advocacy links<\/a>. If you are a local chapter president, legislative chair, or PAC chair, we highly encourage you to contact your local Representative\u2019s office (especially the two \u201cfreshmen\u201d when their new offices open) and cultivate or renew your relationship. It\u2019s not only about pushing legislation \u2014 when Feds contact their local congressional office for help, these folks could guide them back to us as prospective members, so let\u2019s try to make sure we are \u201con the map\u201d with them!
