Bill 23-0060, the Pension Exclusion Restoration and Expansion Act of 2019.

Ask the Mayor  to include funding for Bill 23-0060, the Pension Exclusion Restoration and Expansion Act of 2019.  This is the bill that would allow 40,000 retired public servants in DC to exclude up to $20,000 of pension income from DC taxes.  The bill applies to local and federal pensions.  It also provides other tax relief for seniors.

This is the third year the DC City Council has introduced the bill.  Each prior time, a majority of members co-sponsored the bill, but the Council failed to pass it or even hold a hearing. Help make this year different.
