Finding a cure for Alzheimer's

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees has focused on finding a cure for Alzheimer's for many years and has raised over to $14 million for that effort from it's over 200,000 members nationally. Our Corpus Christi, Texas, Chapter 0091 continues to make this one of our prime community service efforts.  Please help.

“Yea! We’ve reached our December 31, 2021 goal of $14 million!"                     Keep those donations coming in so we can meet our new goal by December 31, 2022.

Here is the latest total for Alzheimer's.

Hooray!!!!!

We have exceeded the 14 million dollar goal that we had set for Alzheimer's. The new total is $14,082,862.41. During the month of September, NARFE members raised $121,3210.35 Grat job

I have not received official notification that our goal had been raised to $15,000,000.00.  I'm sure that it has, but I have not received an "official" word from NARFE Headquarters. In past years, the membership would vote at our convention to increase the goal once the current goal had been met.  As soon as I hear, I'll pass it on to you.

Thanks to all of you that took the time to donate.

Please do not give up and continue to donate and encourage your members to keep donating.

I was recently reminded that we can continue to make donations to Alzheimer's online.  If you do want to send a check to your local chapter coordinator, you can make an online donation using a credit card.

To do this, go to the NARFE Website.  On the left side of the NARFE home page, click on "special programs" and then "Alzheimer's fund".  Scroll down to the section titled "To Donate".  You'll find the information on how to donate using a credit card in this section.

By doing this we can keep giving our donations to Alzheimer's while we're not having our regular monthly meetings during the Covid.

Coordinators, please do not hold the checks that you receive. Linda and I both get calls about this.    Thanks for your help in supporting Alzheimer's and our goals.
