NARFE Cancels Premier Training Event FEDcon20

“While this was a difficult decision to make, we feel this represents the best possible outcome given the circumstances,” said NARFE President Ken Thomas. “Ultimately, the health and well-being of our members, exhibitors, volunteers and staff members remains our top priority.”

NARFE and the Westin Kierland Resort were in regular contact during the planning of FEDcon20, monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Arizona as well as nationally and remaining attentive to the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health agencies. The decision to cancel was driven by uncertainty about pandemic mitigation factors including social distancing, face coverings and restrictions on large gatherings, as well as the clear concern for at-risk demographic groups who make up much of the FEDcon audience.
The Westin Kierland Resort will now host FEDcon22 August 19-24, 2022. FEDcon24 will be held in St. Louis, MO in August of 2024. We look forward to hosting NARFE members at these and other future events, including our Legislative Training Conference and Centennial Celebration Gala, both being held in Washington, DC, in June of 2021.

“We’re pleased that we will be able to partner with the Westin Kierland Resort to provide a stellar experience for FEDcon22," continued Thomas.
NARFE remains committed to its mission of serving the federal community with information, advocacy and services related to federal benefits and related advocacy initiatives.
