Eddie & Ozzie Awards 2025

the Eddie & Ozzie trophy 2025 presented to the NARFE Senior Content Manager We’re proud to share that NARFE Magazine has earned a 2025 Eddie Award, one of the publishing industry’s most prestigious honors, recognizing the best editorial content across association, nonprofit, consumer, and business publications.

The March 2025 issue was entered “because it exemplifies our editorial mission: to inform, advocate for, and empower the federal community. Published at a pivotal moment for public service, this issue demonstrates how we help readers navigate policy changes that directly affect their careers, benefits, and financial security,” said NARFE National President William “Bill” Shackelford.

The issue included the cover story “Preparing for a Revived Schedule F: Replacing Angst With Action,” which tackled a complex, politically charged issue with clarity and purpose, offering proactive guidance for career federal employees facing potential instability under a returning administration and delivering actionable insight grounded in NARFE’s advocacy mission. A feature highlighting NARFE-PAC Month, “The Federal Service Is Under Attack, and NARFE-PAC Is Our Best Defense,” positions NARFE-PAC not just as a fundraising vehicle, but as a crucial strategy for building bipartisan support in Congress. By explaining how PAC funds are deployed and tying them to legislative wins like the repeal of WEP and GPO, contributions are seen as impactful and essential.

“This industry recognition affirms what NARFE members already know: NARFE Magazine delivers trusted, high-quality information on federal benefits, pay, and advocacy — content that makes a difference for the federal community,” Shackelford said.

Thank you to our staff members for their dedication and professional excellence!
