As of October 30, 2025, FEEA announced that it is no longer accepting new applications due to the funding threshold being reached.

Their website states: “Due to limited funding, we’ve had to pause the application period … we are actively seeking additional funding and hope to be able to reopen the application if the shutdown continues.”

From a broader perspective, another report noted that FEEA expected the funding pool to “run dry” quickly, given the high volume of applicants under the current shutdown conditions.
