Fully 94% of the more than 40,000 comments submitted on the proposed rule were opposed to the policy.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/public-inspection.federalregister.gov\/2026-02375.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>final rule<\/strong><\/a> formally implementing the policy is set for publication in the Federal Register Friday.<\/p>\n<p>FEDWeek Article dated February 5, 2026 titled:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedweek.com\/federal-managers-daily-report\/schedule-p-c-study-cites-negative-impacts-of-at-will-employment-in-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> Schedule P\/C: Study Cites Negative Impacts of At-Will Employment in Government<\/strong><\/a> identifies what the Trump administration proposes to implement as Schedule Policy\/Career initiative\u2014\u201cwill improve employee or agency performance\u201d as not valid.
