OPM Sets Standards for Hiring into Schedule P/C

Article by the FEDWeek Staff addresses the standards for hiring federal employees into the Schedule P/C.  “Along with instructions on converting current employees into the new excepted service Schedule Policy/Career, OPM has set standards for hiring into those positions, which among other things include statements that appear to be a response to contentions—and already-pending lawsuits—that the authority will be used to stack the positions with political loyalists.”
