The windfall elimination provision was signed into law on Sunday, January 5, 2025.\u00a0This affects WEP and the government Offset.\u00a0The law repeals Social Security\u2019s windfall elimination provision (WEP) and government pension offset.\u00a0The Social Security Fairness Act Info was posted January 11th. Legislative Bills that impact Federal Employees and Retirees.<\/p>\n<p>Many Federal Retirees, spouses, etc. are concerned about how and what to do to ensure they will now obtain the funds they should be getting. <strong>What do they need to do themselves to ensure this?<\/strong> The following information with the source of each is provided to assist with this. This has been a NARFE priority since the beginning of WEP and GPO, and all the hard work and persistence have finally paid off.
