Regional Vice President,
Richard Wilson of Graham, WA, was elected to a two-year term on NARFE’s National Executive Board at the Association’s 34th Biennial National Convention in Reno, NV, August 28-September 1. He succeeds Lanny Ross. Wilson represents NARFE Region IX, which includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
Wilson has extensive NARFE experience, having served in leadership positions with NARFE’s Washington Federation, including president, vice president and District II vice president. He also served as president and vice president of Chapter 1404 in East Lake, WA, and was a member of the National Recruitment and Retention Task Force in 2011.
Wilson spent his federal career in the U. S. Postal Service, beginning as a clerk and letter carrier in San Francisco. He became customer programs manager in the Western Region, was relocated to Seattle, and retired in 2005 as a senior manager with 38 years of service. Wilson served 26 years in the Naval Reserve, retiring as Chief Petty Officer.
