NARFE Congratulates Maloney on Being Named Chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 22, 2019

In response to House democrats appointing Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) as Chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, NARFE National President Ken Thomas issued the following statement:

Alexandria, Va. – “As the sponsor of the Federal Employee Paid Leave Act (FEPLA) and a long-standing member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, Rep. Maloney understands the unique challenges facing today’s federal workforce. I was proud to stand by her side promoting paid leave for federal employees; a long-overdue, commonsense policy. NARFE congratulates Rep. Maloney (D-NY) on being appointed Chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, and we look forward to continue working closely with her, Ranking Member Jordan and the entire committee to preserve and protect the earned pay and benefits of federal civil servants across the U.S.”
