The Missouri Federation is one of seven state Federations making up NARFE Region 05<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n On December 12, 1953, all NARFE Chapters in Missouri responded to a call to meet in Jefferson City to form a Federation. Five chapters \u2013 Springfield 11, Joplin 19, Kansas City 20, Columbia 312, and Jefferson City 313 \u2013 sent delegates. Three chapters were represented by proxy \u2013 Monett 41, St. Louis 112, and St. Joseph 307. The meeting unanimously agreed to form a permanent Federation to be named the \u201cMissouri Federation of Chapters of the National Association of Retired Civil Employees.\u201d A Constitution and Bylaws were adopted. Plans for the first annual convention were made with Springfield being named as the site.
