Grassroots Advocacy Month

To kick off 2020’s NARFE Grassroots Advocacy Month, NARFE National President Ken Thomas delivered a video message to members:

NARFE’s Grassroots Advocacy Month is an opportunity for NARFE members to continue their advocacy with members of Congress when they return to their districts and states for the month-long summer recess. Through various types of advocacy activities, NARFE members play an active role in protecting their earned pay and benefits, and work to advance NARFE’s legislative priorities.

This year’s campaign is happening amid the COVID-19 pandemic that has kept Americans under mandated stay-at-home orders for several months. Despite these challenges, NARFE’s Grassroots Advocacy Month will go on with the same energy and enthusiasm our community continues to show during these unprecedented times. You can also visit NARFE’s COVID-19 FAQ page for information on coronavirus relief legislation like the CARES Act, agency guidance on the pandemic and more.
