Save the date!<\/strong><\/span> FEDcon26\u00a0 AUG. 23-26\u00a0 INDIANAPOLIS IN<\/h5>\n

NARFE\u2019s biennial training conference for officers and future leaders, FEDcon26<\/strong><\/a>, will be held at the Hyatt Regency<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in downtown Indianapolis. The National Executive Board and Federation Presidents meet just prior to FEDcon. The Annual NARFE Business Meeting is the morning of Aug 23 and then the conference starts that afternoon.

2025 IL CONFERENCE\u00a0 SEP. 16-17\u00a0 EFFINGHAM IL<\/span><\/h5>\n

Our conference was held again at the Thelma Keller Convention Center<\/strong>. Our new Region 04 Vice-President (VP), Ed Konys joined us from Ohio and shared insights on the Future of NARFE<\/a><\/strong>. National staff members John Hatton and Nora McDonald spoke on Advocacy<\/a><\/strong> and membership, respectively. We also had presentations on Managing Our Finances in Retirement<\/a><\/strong> and Senior Safety. Elections were held during the business meeting on Wednesday. Jerry Townsend was elected as President and Connie Storer as District 2 VP. All other officers remained in place. See the Federation Officers<\/a><\/strong> page for the complete list. 2024 IL CONVENTION\u00a0 SEP. 17-19\u00a0 EFFINGHAM IL<\/h5>\n

Our annual convention was held at the Thelma Keller Convention Center<\/strong><\/span>. The Final Call to Convention<\/span><\/strong><\/a> has the schedule. During the business meeting<\/strong> on Thursday, there were no proposed changes to the federation bylaws. Malcolm Todd (Chap. 1007) resigned as District 1 VP and James Haley (Chap. 1019) volunteered to replace him. Some speakers\u2019 slides<\/a> <\/strong>are available for your reference. The Minutes<\/a><\/strong> were also posted.<\/p>\n
