NARFE Comments on the Nomination of Dale Cabaniss as OPM Director

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (March 5, 2019) – National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) President Ken Thomas issued the following statement in response to the White House announcement of the nomination of Dale Cabaniss for the position of director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM):

“With the Trump administration’s desire to restructure the federal government as part of broader civil service reforms, the need for leadership at OPM is great. Ms. Cabaniss’s extensive federal career as a public servant, particularly as chairman of the Federal Labor Relations Authority, gives her unique insight into the demands and challenges facing today’s federal workforce and its retirees. We look forward to a productive working relationship with her so that the value and importance of the federal community is understood and respected throughout OPM, the White House and beyond.”
