About Us
NARFE Chapter 1594 was established in San Antonio, Texas on the 16th of June 1978. Chapter was to be known as Fair Avenue Chapter 1594. Original membership consisted of sixty-four federal retirees. Members held monthly meetings at the Fair Avenue Apartments. Over the years, the meeting sites changed several times due to rental costs. In 2016, chapter name was changed and is now known as San Antonio Chapter 1594. Presently, meetings are held at Brookhill Baptist Church, 631 Utopia Ln, San Antonio, Texas 78223. Chapter meets every third Wednesday of the month from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The June and December meetings are luncheons held at a restaurant of members choosing.
