NARFE Chapter 1270 was chartered on April 10, 1973, and serves Federal Employees, retirees, and their spouses in Eastern Prince William County and a small portion of South Eastern Fairfax County.\u00a0 As of June 2024, there were a total of 445 NARFE members living within its boundaries, 200 who belong to the chapter and 245 who are National Members. All members are welcome to attend meetings.\u00a0 Meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of each month (except September when an annual picnic is held at the Dale City VFW). Anyone can attend the meetings at 11:30 am for a meet-and-greet, followed by a sit-down-menu lunch (optional at $23.00), a guest speaker around 12:30 pm, and a brief meeting to close out.<\/span><\/div>\n

Chapter 1270 Officers<\/strong><\/div>\n

Chapter 1270\u2019s President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected annually at our November meeting and sworn in at our December Holiday Party.\u00a0 In accordance with our bylaws, all officers serve one year terms, but the President\u2019s tenure is limited to two consecutive years. Each meeting includes a speaker discussing timely topics.
